Making money with affiliate marketing can be a great way to supplement your income or, if you wish, to replace your income. This is not a get rich quick scheme, make money overnight, or something for nothing. Affiliate marketing is something that takes time, and will require you to probably learn some new skills. But one of the best things about affiliate marketing is that anyone can do it. There are many books, websites, blogs, forums and educational systems that can help you learn how you can start making money with affiliate marketing too.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate Marketing is a way of making money on the internet by promoting other people's products through websites, blogs and e-mails. There are a couple of ways of making money with affiliate marketing. You can post links to companies website or products and if someone clicks on your link and purchases something you get paid a commission of the total sale. There is also pay per click programs that will pay you every time someone clicks on those links, even if they don't buy anything. Another way of making money with affiliate marketing is by giving leads to companies. This is when you send someone to their site to fill out a form that may lead them to buy a product or service from the company. A good example of this would be some companies will pay a certain amount of money every time you send someone to their site and fill out a application for a mortgage, credit card or some other type of credit.
Why Affiliate Marketing?
I chose to start affiliate marketing because of the options that it can give you. In the beginning it is something that can be done in your spare time, while working a regular job. Once you start making a little income you can start paying off debt a little quicker. Then once the debt is gone just keep learning and putting more time into your affiliate marketing business. Then why not just replace your job income and have your FREEDOM. And if you don't have any debt, great! Skip right to the, getting out of your job step. You can do it from home at whatever time you chose to do it. In fact you can do it anywhere you want now days, with laptops and wireless internet. It can create passive income. Once you set up a site that is making money from affiliate marketing a lot of times all it will need is minimal, or sometimes no, maintenance. Getting paid over and over for something you set up and put your time into once. Sounds great to me. Another great thing about affiliate marketing is it does not discriminate. You can do it if your young or old, male or female, black or white. All you need is to learn from someone who has had success doing it, have the determination to stick with it, and DO IT!
Why Should You Listen To Me?
Don't!!!!! Well as far as making money with affiliate marketing goes don't quite listen to me, yet. I have just started this journey, as you may have also. But I am learning from some great people who already have what I want to get from doing this. They replaced their income and have their freedom from a job. If this isn't something you want to do fine I'm sure you can find something to do with the extra money go on a vacation, buy a new car, pay off your debt, or give to church and charity. But me I just want my time back, and getting rid of the JOB will allow me to spend all the time I want with my family. And it can do the same for you. So no don't listen to me, but do listen to the people that are helping me on this journey because they have already been through the minefield. They know what works and what doesn't and will help you every step of the way.
So What Do You Do Next?
First and most important is you need to figure out what you want. What do I mean? You need to know why you are doing this. Why are you going to invest time, money and effort into affiliate marketing. Because if you don't know why you are doing it you wont do it. Or even worse you will start doing it and will quit before you could learn enough to start making money. So why are you doing it? A new car, a trip to Hawaii, getting out of debt, spending more time with family, supplement your income, bring your wife home to raise your kids, give more money to church or charity. It doesn't matter what it is, you just need to have a reason. Then learn from someone who has had success and is making money with affiliate marketing. There are many great programs, books and systems that can teach you to do affiliate marketing. And they are put together by people who have already done it and are willing to teach you what they know. Why would they do this you ask? Because it benefits them too. They make money by selling you a book, or a program that will teach you every thing you need to know. They make money off of us? how dare they! Yes they teach you how to get whatever it is you wanted out of it. Am I willing to pay money to someone if they will help me get rid of my job? You bet i am. Oh yeah and don't forget the last step in making money with affiliate marketing. After you learn from someone who knows how to do it and is having success at it. Do what they did, that's it.
